Had a nice time a few days ago, had a friend over for dinner. I just love to cook for people. It is so much fun. Wore this super fabulous new dress I found at Rad Summer for $6 !!!!!

I was drinking this super fantastic French cider. The brew actually smelled like Europe, if you know what I mean. Wonderful, wonderful aroma. More specifically, it smelled like Belgium, since I've never properly been to France (except for the Charles De Gaulle airport).

TODAY...is my dear father's 69th birthday. Happy birthday, dad! Here is one from the Stanley Brothers...me and my dad like to drink beer and sing bluegrass tunes. Wish I were with him right now.

Monday was cool. Went to Alberta, my favorite place in Portland (at the moment), wandered around, drank a lot of good beer, it was a gorgeous, sunny day.

Finally ended up at Apex for a final beer of the night. Only stopped off there because I was starving and wanted a burrito from the place next door, but they ended up being closed. Love this on the bathroom wall:

I've been sewing as well, will be putting up some new items on the Etsy site in the next few days. I made my first sale! What a nice couple of days. Wow, I hope this lasts.
Oh, by the way...maybe it was dancing around in my 1970s tent dress, or perhaps it is due to other recent events ;) but I've been listening to a lot of Fleetwood Mac in the past few days. Here's a super great vid I used to LOVE when I was younger...at the time it was the most expensive video ever made (I think it was made for about a million dollars, because it had several scenes). Can you believe it? How times have changed. The quality isn't very good, but it's still like, the BEST video ever!
First, I'm going through my own turmoils and tribulations which is causing all manner of distraction and preoccupation. I am getting very little done besides the mundane and necessary.

Went to a new club 2 nights ago - Plan B. Not a bad place to see a show. Good nachos. Beer selection rather sucks, however. Saw Sarcologos, Infernus, Blood Etchings, um, can't remember the name of the 4th band. Can you make it out?

Ugh. It's a gorgeous day, the weather has been lovely, but I work. It's a holiday weekend, for some, but I work. Ick, yuck, f**k.
Has anyone out there ever been on prednisone? My poison oak nightmare had gotten so bad I actually went to the doctor for assistance (a super-duper rarity for me). I knew I would get a prescription for prednisone, which is working, slowly, but working nonetheless. HOWEVER...this medicine is kicking my BUTT! Two days ago I was high as a kite, euphoric, energetic, psychotic. Yesterday and today I am exhausted, depressed, dragging. I will NEVER take this medication again.
And, although I have not really written about it, I am trying to open an Etsy shop. I cannot believe how difficult it is for me to get this thing going. Trying to photograph my clothing in a dark house with mostly rainy weather outside is impossible. Of course, the only nice days are the days I work, and I am unable to get the job done. Sigh.
Two nights, then 3 off. I WILL accomplish things on those days off. Sorry for the ranting, but I'm gong to blame it on my prednisone-induced hysteria.
